The Pictures:

This is what it looks like at Providence at 5:30am.

The boys had the backseat, girls had the front.

Lindsey may or may not be falling asleep driving.

Sarah brought us a Word from the Lord.

I am a backseat photographer.

We made it, arriving around 6:50am.

Upon arriving, we were blown away by the beauty of Kevin's childhood.

If you are ever invited to the Wood's for a meal, go for it.
Homemade everything.
- Sausage and egg casserole
- Hashbrown casserole
- Bread
- Strawberries (not pictured)
- OJ (Tropicana, not homemade)

This is what it looked like after we attacked it.

And for the bread, don't forget about the freshly mixed butter and honey.

We got back to Providence around 8:55am.
We could all have used a bit more sleep that we got.
But especially Kevin: He worked third shift at UPS the night before.
He was working off of 1.5 hrs, and had commitments later in the morning.

Everything is Different

Sarah and I are going to Colorado later this month with her family.

The acceleration of gravity at sea level is about 9.8 m/s^2.
At 38,000 feet it's 9.76 m/s^2.

I should be able to jump a good bit higher than normal. It's gonna be great.

Not So Great

I read something today. It was so bad, I thought I would share.
Suzanne, this is partially dedicated directly to you.
And Sarah and dad, I know your love for mayonnaise.
So, enjoy, all.

"Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico.
But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo."

Of Proms and Laughter...

Many came out to the Joy Prom this year,
but no one expected Andy Bernard (from The Office) to make an appearance.

But he did show up, and true to form, he graced us with singing some oldies.

"Just My Imagination" - The Temptations

A Visual Definition of the Phrase: "A Stark Contrast"

With a simple turn of the hips, I took two pictures.

While all that physically separates these two yards is a fence,
there is clearly much, much more than a fence separating them.

This is our front yard.

This is our next door neighbor's front yard.

This, my friends, is a stark contrast.

The Post Below

In case you were wondering, I am playing around with some technology for work and thought I would try this one out on our blog. It is called "Voicethread". You can upload pictures or videos and different people can add comments, sounds, etc to the picture or video. It seems like a fun collaboration tool, so lets see how creative you all can be!
